We work closely with our partner teachers, school, and district administrators to adapt the curriculum material we develop to meet their needs and to make them locally relevant. All adaptations that have classroom implications are closely coordinated with our partners. We draw upon our partner-teachers’ expertise to make sure that we provide the best possible learning experience for students.
All participating teachers are provided with a significant amount of professional learning experiences, both in their first year on the project and in their second year. In addition, we provide in-class personal support to all teachers.
All the curriculum materials and equipment needed to enact the units are provided by us to our partners; these are donated to the school when the project is finished so that the units can be continued to be used. All participating teachers who complete a full year on the project receive a stipend. All our findings are shared with the teachers and with their administrators.
