Students will review ways their personal decisions matter and then explore a few ways governments or nonprofit organizations have encouraged people to make smart water choices.

Introduce that there are small personal decisions that have meaningful impacts on the water crisis.
Before showing possible personal decisions, have students brainstorm from what they previously learned about ways they can impact the water crisis.
These videos and ad campaigns are various ways that governments and nonprofits encourage citizens to conserve and protect water. These will be useful references for students as they work on their final projects.
These slides can also be given to students for independent exploration and not conducted as a teacher-led activity

This lesson can be given to students to explore on their own to save time. Students will need to understand the value of governments considering the individual decisions of each person in order to be successful in their final project. Ultimately, if you’re running short on time, this lesson can be cut.
